About me
Marc began his educational career in the Bethel School District (18.000 students and 28 schools) as an elementary teacher for four years and then the district level technology integration coach for six years. He then moved into the position of Technology Director at the same district for seven years. Marc presently serves in the role as Chief Information Officer for the Olympia School District, and has been for the last eight years. The Olympia SD serves the metropolitan area of the city of Olympia with 10,000 students and 19 schools that regularly are top performers in the state of Washington. As CIO, he oversees operational technology, instructional technology training and professional development, student information systems and (newly) assessment operations. Marc has also served the last nine years as a board member for the WA Maintenance and Operations Association as a representative for the integration of technology and maintenance operations. Marc is very familiar with the ACPE organization, having attended every ACPE conference since 2002 while presenting at the majority of them.
