This session will explore the evolution of Salem-Keizer's Status Page as a vital tool for communicating service disruptions to staff and stakeholders. We will delve into the historical context, technological advancements, and current best practices for managing communication as status updates during incidents. Attendees will learn how to design status updates that cater to diverse audiences, ensuring that all staff members, regardless of their technical proficiency are kept informed and empowered.

School Districts are struggling to meet the unique procurement and contract needs posed by services employing Artificial Intelligence. The Presenter is working with the Student Data Privacy Consortium and other Agencies to develop new contracts to meet this need. Participants will be given examples of model language and will be asked to provide their perspectives on this issue.
